Why Romney lost and therefore the moral and economic decline of the USA will continue

Why Romney Lost and therefore the moral and economic degradation of the USA will continue

Below is an article with the title “Why Romney Lost” on why the Republicans lost in the bid for the presidential seat. Although I fully agree with the article it omitted a few very important reasons of Republicans’ defeat. Here are those reasons.

  • Obama promised to work on creating the fair society – you remember his slogans like “social justice”, “fair share”, “fair redistribution of wealth”, etc. And Romney failed to demonstrate that Obama’s social justice is a sort of Marxist justice with a Muslim Sharia flavor. He failed to demonstrate that such social justice is incompatible with the Judeo-Christian spiritual foundation of our country.
  • Americans are very much supportive of a social-justice system – however, we haven’t heard anything about Romney-style social justice. Romney suggested only “employment opportunities”. When “employment opportunities” clashed with “social justice”, the “social justice” won.
  • Romney, and the Republican Party elite, failed to make a point that a true social justice can be created only on Judeo-Christian moral principles that require helping those who cannot help themselves through individual charity/mitzvah – not through a Marxist government’s redistribution of wealth.

Why Romney lost

NOVEMBER 7, 2012 BY FLOYD AND MARY BETH BROWN

Dick Morris, Michael Barone, and Karl Rove all got it wrong. They thought Romney would win. Let us tell you why we never thought Obama would lose.

Republicans are too nice. In contrast, spending hundreds of millions of dollars, Obama set out to destroy the character of Mitt Romney. While telling stories about how Romney killed people and shipped their jobs abroad, Obama’s team never once could find a trait they liked about Mitt Romney. The Republicans never reciprocated. We nearly choked when we heard speakers at the GOP convention talking about Barack Obama’s good qualities as a father and man.

The leadership of the Republican Party is living in an alternate reality. Barack Obama isn’t a good man. He is evil and corrupt. Romney didn’t have the guts to say it. He didn’t want to talk about Obama’s associations with communists and socialists. He didn’t want to talk about Obama’s associations with Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood. Romney never wanted to talk about Obama’s sketchy past, his fictional birth story, and his possible ineligibility to serve as president. Romney didn’t want to talk about Obama’s receipt of corrupt and foreign election funds.

Yes, the economy is bad, but there needed to be more. What about Obama’s support for infanticide? What about his support for death panels? Whoops, Romney couldn’t talk about them because he has been all over the map on these issues. First, Romney was against abortion, and then he was for it, only to be against it again when it was politically expedient. Romney had the same problem on Obamacare. Romneycare passed with his support in Massachusetts, and it is a close cousin to the corrupt healthcare program of Obama.

But let’s put Romney aside; there are significant problems inside the Republican Party that handicap any candidate.

The overly zealous foreign policy of the neoconservative movement is hurting the Republican brand. Americans were worried Romney might get us in another Mideast war. Americans are tired of spilling blood in Islamistan. As a result, Obama scored better than Romney on the question of dealing with a foreign crisis.

This doesn’t mean that we support a pre-1940 style of isolationism; but Americans want our troops to come home after a decade of fighting, and they believe Obama will bring them home.

Americans are not pacifists, but they are realists in the mold of Ronald Reagan. Reagan kept the peace through strength, but he also reached out to his enemies with constructive proposals. The modern Republican establishment is too bellicose, and Romney adopted their militant ways, lock stock and barrel.

We cannot fashion the world in our own image. And we especially cannot do it if our only persuasive tool is advanced weapons falling on others heads.

Next, the Republican Party has truly become corporatist. The next Republican to win the presidency must be a populist. He or she needs to know Americans distrust big banks as much as they distrust big government. A Wall Street-allied financial engineer like Romney was not the best candidate when the last big scandal to rock the nation was in banking. To be the party of America, the GOP must stop coddling big business. Free trade is important, but it isn’t so perfect as to be worshiped. Transnational corporations that care less about America than profits must be reined in.

Finally, what Rove and the GOP establishment did to conservative candidate Todd Akin will not be soon forgotten. The establishment elite of the GOP must stop the war against conservative and Christian candidates lower down the ticket. Christians are the heart of the GOP, and we are not amused.

America’s and the GOP’s real solution to problems will only come when we rediscover God as the Creator and Finisher of our nation and our world.

  1. Homosexual marriage is now legal in our state, as well as teaching kids in our public schools that same-sex marriage is normal. I never imagined the majority of Washinton voters would pass such a proposition; and infact I doubt it was genuinely tabulated because we mail in ballots here. It is becoming unpopular to be conservative and return to moral ways, social pressure is to modernize. I feel America is in it’s last years like Rome before it fell.

    1. I am afraid you are right. The problem is we have replaced the Judeo-Christian values of Ten Commandments with human-made liberal or conservative values. I see only one solution: return to the Judeo-Christian values even if you consider yourselves non-religious.

  2. Pretty much right on the spot as I view it! The ignorant/arrogant elite of the republican party have done it to themselves and ‘We the people’ of the United States of America. May God save the souls of the mature believers in this country that has degenerated morally and immorally through this time in history.

    1. Your comment is typical for a liberally minded person for whom liberalism is a sort of religion. Those people are afraid of any discussion … They are not looking for the truth – they believe their faith is an absolute truth.

  3. I totally agree with Mr. Trump on this issue. Obama is an ILLegal and fraudulent “president”. Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his associates have done extensive investigation on whether or not Obama was born in the USA and regarding his parents’ citizenship. There is absolutely NO evidence that Obama is a naturalized citizen of the USA, but there is PLENTY of cover-up on the issue. Organized crime/globalist Satanic neo-cons/international bankster-gangsters/Kingdom of Satan is behind this travesty and HUGE JOKE on the American people. For Obama to win a second election just shows that the majority of the American voters are COMPLETELY CLUELESS about what is really going on in America, behind their backs and in front of their noses. I hope that history remembers Donald Trump as a hero for standing up for truth and justice. Saying, “America is divided” means that the people are becoming increasingly more sharply divided between the good and evil, between the wise and the fools, between those who want to live free and independent and those who want Big Brother Government monitoring their every move and supplying their every need, between those who love and serve God and those who serve Satan.

  4. I really like this article. I sums up neatly and concisely the plain facts. I just wish that the American people had the brains and integrity to recognize Ron Paul as far and away the most honest, wise, capable, knowledgeable candidate for president. The voters missed a golden opportunity to really turn America around by not voting for Ron Paul. Everyone who didn’t vote for Ron Paul was obviously fooled or pressured by the powerful globalist neo-con media. See: Ron Paul.com and listen to his speech on Liberty with Lew Rockwell.

  5. Dr. Minkov,

I feel several statements you made in your blog are wrong. You stated:

“While telling stories about how Romney killed people and shipped their jobs abroad, Obama’s team never once could find a trait they liked about Mitt Romney. The Republicans never reciprocated. ”

Governor Romney repeatedly stretched the truth to the breaking point, in fact both parties did on a regular basis, however Romney and his camp did so more blatantly and in ways that were so off the wall as to indicate an unawareness of what the truth actually was. The comment about Jeep sending production to China was for me, a lifelong Republican, the last bitter straw. For Romney, a professed “good man” and “G-d fearing man” deception should have NEVER been part of his campaign.

You state that President Obama “isn’t a good man. He is evil and corrupt.” Dr. Minkoy, please point me to an elected politician in this country who is not. All take special interest money in exchange for their votes, all sell themselves to the highest bidder, that is part of American politics. To think otherwise is naive. Governor Romney engaged in hiding his finances, including a sham non-profit that had it been established a year later would have been illegal, and nnot being open about his tax returns. If indeed president Obama is evil and corrupt it is his relative transparency to Governor Romney that makes him so.

I wholly agree with your statement “The overly zealous foreign policy of the neoconservative movement is hurting the Republican brand.” What you call Infanticide many call a necessary medical procedure to save the mothers life. Many of his conservative policies are what, in my opinion, killed his chances as a candidate. This country’s progress is not based on Conservative Reform, it is founded on Liberal Progress. The Right to Vote for blacks and women are a liberal thinking product, Social Security, Medicare, Minimum Wage….all are liberal ideals that we now embrace. The Republican Party in establishing their platform spoke more of “returning to the values the country was founded on” when indeed the country was founded on Moral values that are not exclusively Christian.

I appreciate your comments, however they are typical of those bitter from a defeat. Pray with me for the chosen candidates strength and wisdom, and put aside the falseness and accusations.

    Shalom,
    Peter McKay

    1. Shalom Peter:
What is RIGHT and what is WRONG have to be judged by comparing intellectual points we are trying to evaluate with the fundamental principles of morally and economically just society.
For me those fundamental principles are in the Judeo-Christian spirituality rooted in Ten Commandment. The principles of the Conservative Reform or the Liberal Progress are human-made dogmas. The human-made dogmas, sooner or later, bring dictatorship and the loss of freedom.
You probably would agree that was the reason for the Jews to escape the Pharaoh’s Egypt over three thousand years ago.
      Best wishes.

  6. If you truly believe in God then accept that the decision to keep Obama was His. After all, Romney is a non-christian Mormon. Why would God want a non-christian?

And by the way, there are no death panels. I guess to tell a lie is not limited to tohers.

    1. If you are a Christian (or Jewish) you should know that God created all people equal in His own image and likeness – all people including members of all Jewish and Christian denominations (including the Mormons). The only God’s requirement imposed on His people is to follow TEN COMMANDMENTS.
Therefore a person who even consider himself non-religious may be a president if his moral fundamentals are Ten-Commandments-based.
By the way, God provided His people with FREE WILL enabling them to make their own decisions – not to expect that God will make a decision for them.

  7. I have a small business and have had to let 3 people go in the last couple of weeks. One was a black man and 2 were Hispanic. I am hanging on by a thread. Why socialism? It does seem to hurt so many and does seem evil. Between the rising cost of fuel, all the regulations and now Obamacare, I will probably throw in the towel.

  8. Write in Ron Paul supporters, ie…the Military and college students (Y.A.L), Gary Johnson, and Virgil Goode. Virgil taking away 1% in Virgina, where Cowardice, draft dodging Mitt, was needing to win.
The demeaning, disrespect, and name calling, etc.. of Ron Paul and supporters for the past decade.
Also McConnells refusal to work with Dems, while trampling on his own parties voters so as he stated, “To make Pres. Obama a one Term President”.

Maybe you will learn to NOT chose a Candidate no one likes, especially if he is known as a Lobbyist period. Maybe the PNAC/ GOP, will start caring more for the Constitution and their own American Citizens, instead of their greedy lobbyist agenda. That would be a great start.

  9. 1. Obama’s ring is an expression of Islam: inside the band is inscribed “there is no god but allah” and the outer band has Islamic inscriptions.
    2. If he is a good guy, then why won’t he release all of his personal records, as other Americans have done in the past when asked to do so?
    3. His existence is shrouded in mystery: who was his real father? And, the family history is rather revealing of those who favored communism. The boy spent much time with Frank, a communist. His associations were communists. His background is revealed consisting of being educated as a muslim. This is why he so protective of Islam in the USA today.
    4. His maturity level reveals much about his statements. He is immature. Doesn’t take a PhD to figure this out.
    5. His leanings toward abortion is a contradiction to his professed Christian beliefs. He is not a Christian in the simplist terms. Abortion and homosexuality are abominations in the revealed Word of God, thus rendering his profession null and void of any substance.
6 No one is addressing his last EO done quickly while the winds of Sandy virtually destroyed NJ and part of the East Coast. He has basically attempted to override states’ rights and the other branches of government. A dictator in the making, compliments of the American people whose “feelings” override logical “reason”.
    7. His evil thinking about getting political revenge shows his lack of mature ethical and moral reasoning. But if the majority of humans in this nation do not understand “moral reasoning”, then all is lost as far as making him accountable for behaviors not becoming an adult, let alone the POTUS.
I’m tired of reading about what went wrong with the Repubs. Both parties are useless to maintaining liberty. We the People are now in free-fall. Nothing is going to stop the out of control system as it morphs into a deluded population that has unrealistic expectations for government leadership, government policies, and the purpose of government. And, for US, there is no fence to climb under or over or go through gates to escape the coming crash. We have always been the escape for everyone else on the this planet. We won’t survive consequences of poor judgement, and this includes the politicians who have forgotten the One who created government and created government leadership on this planet. I’m bored with all the lame excuses and the tired explanations of why this and why that. This nation has forgotten God; God now has turned his back on a once great nation that respected His laws and His name. The human game is over. Now God will show how displeased He is with His creation.

    1. The true title to the Mormon church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints…how is that NOT a Christian church…I believe in Jesus Christ and he suffered and died on the cross for all man kind….even the Muslims…. I am also a Mormon…we use the Kings James version of the Bible….so who ever says that we are not Christians do not know anything about us!!!

      1. Agreed!.
I am Jewish and I am discussing Judeo-Christian spirituality with numerous my Christian friends. I visited Mormon institutions in Salt Lake City just to understand their spirituality. And I found that the true Jews, the true Christians including the Mormons have the fundamental believes rooted in Ten Commandments.

    2. > 4 Simple Questions
      > 1. Back in 1961 people of color were called ‘Negroes.’ So how can the Obama ‘birth certificate’ state he is ‘African-American’ when the term wasn’t even used at that time?
      >
      > 2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama’s birth as August 4, 1961. It indicates that Barack Hussein Obama was his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama’s birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama’s father was born in ” Kenya , East Africa “. This wouldn’t seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama’s birth, and 27 years after his father’s birth.
      > How could Obama’s father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the ” British East Africa Protectorate”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya_
      >
      > 3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is “Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital”. This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called “KauiKeolani Children’s Hospital” and “Kapi’olani Maternity Home”, respectively. The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged.
      > How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978? http://www.kapiolani.org/women-and-children/about-us/default.aspx
      >
      > 4. Why hasn’t this been discussed in the major media? Perhaps a clue comes from Obama’s book. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I’m not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama’s “birth certificate” says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when he was born. That should have put his father’s date of birth approximately 1936. WW II was basically between 1939 and 1945… Just how many 3 year olds fight in wars? Even in the later stages of WW II his father wouldn’t have been more than 9. Does that mean that Mr. Obama is a liar, or simply chooses to alter the facts to satisfy his imagination or political purposes (still qualifies as a “liar”)?

  10. This time I disagree with your take on Mr. Akin. Romney lost the elections because Aikin is stupid. The statement he made is incorrect, terribly stupid and inflamed women everywhere. This association with Republican party of people like Aikin and Murdock (indiana) sent thousands of college educated women to Obama. I myself would never vote for a party of Akin and Murdock. I knew Romney is a better man, but many women did not.

    1. Any political party in a democratic country is a collection of individuals united by a particular ideology. In the case of Republican Party this ideology is reducing the power of government to provide as much individual freedoms as possible. Outside of this ideology opinions of party members may be, and should be, different. Akin should be judged as an individual politician – not as a party-dogma teller.
Furthermore, women are not just a sex object interested mainly in abortion issues. They should be interested in more important life issues such as individual freedoms, kid’s education, employment opportunities, etc. All those issues are much better addressed by the Republican party.
Would you agree with all that?

  11. I voted for Obama not because I thought he would be better than Romney, on the contrary, I thought Romney would have made a better president for allot of reasons. What killed it for me was the Republican Party or Tea Party with their ridiculous conservative religious diatribe. Just take one look at their followers and the state delegates they won, you would think there was no diversity in America and slavery was well into its 21st century. These people are living under a rock and wish not to come out from under it!
The true Republican Party has been destroyed and it will take a miracle for it to return to its glory days.

    1. So you prefer “Marxism with Islamist flavor” to “conservative religious diatribe”? History shows the “Marxism …” is, step by step, transforming itself into a killing machine while “Conservatism …” let you just dislike and hate it.

  12. its a shame mr minkov doesnt have the birth credentials to run for president. he’d certainly have my vote.maybe you could seek out mr obama’s spin doctors

  13. I believe that the election was bought by George Sorros. How else could Romney lose in all the Battle groung states? Wisconsin went to Obama as well, That makes no sense to me when you considder the lambasting the unions and dems took when they tried ti recall Scott Walker! I just find it hard to believe that the outcome is really on the up and up. Early voting allowed the Obama machine to see the handwriting on the wall and adjust their ficticious ballot counts. The media runs cover and tells us what we should know and believe/ accept. Why did Romney lose? It was a piss poor sales job by the Republican establishment informing the american people of the truth and facts. After all, “It’s hard to run against Santa Clause” (Rush Limbaugh, 2012)

    1. I agree this is a probable scenario since Obama and Sorros have same fundamental goal in mind – diminishing the role of the USA in the world affairs. And both of them are ready to use any mafiosi-type means to reach their goal – they don’t follow the true Judeo-Christian morality.
