A republic (from Latin res publica ‘public affair’) is a form of government in which “supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives”. In republics, the country is considered a “public matter”, not the private concern or property of the rulers.
Who are the “public”? – they are ordinary people living by their morals in a community-nation with common moral virtues. That is America of the founding times.
What are the public’s morals? – in America, they are Bible-guided Judeo-Christian virtues shaped by history, same for both religious and non-religious. They are moral virtues of family relationships, of children’s upbringings, of gender’s roles, of personal responsibilities, of helping the others, of creative work, of … in short, personal responsibility for everything in the life of family, community, and nation.
Who are the “rulers”? – they are supremacists among the public who are forcing the public to live by their orders. That is our supremacist government.
How do the rulers force the public to obey them? They did it by concocting numerous “public rights” and taking upon themselves the role of these rights’ enforcer.
The more “public rights,” the more power to the ruling government for “rights” enforcement and personal enrichment.
Here are just a few examples of the concocted public rights: human rights, women rights, gender rights, abortion rights, student rights, economic rights, political rights, equality rights, climate rights, welfare rights, … and much more.
A Republic government that is serving the people becomes the rulers over the people when the work in the politics becomes a key source of personal enrichment: through the politics, Obama family moved from their middle-class home to a 15M mansion in the Martha’s Vinyard. That is a critical sign of a dying Republic, and we see now.
A Republic government becomes the rulers when it begins “taking care of the public” instead of helping the public to care of themselves. That is a critical sign of a dying Republic, and we see it now.
A Republic government becomes the rulers when in the elections Big Money is winning – not Big Ideas. That is a critical sign of a dying Republic, and we see it now.
A Republic government becomes the rulers when the security of high government officials – not the public – becomes the highest government priority, and we see it now.
Murdering Trump’s MAGA socially, politically, and criminally is another sign of a dying Republic.
And those signs are numerous.
Why is the Republic dying?
The answer is clear for those who know the history: when we are rejecting the God’s guidance, the government is enslaving us.
Why? – because the God’s guidance is Ten-Commandments guidance of individual freedoms and responsibilities “in the name and likeness of God” (that is what the Founding Fathers were dreaming of) while the Government rulers’ guidance is commander’s orders to his subordinates.
What to do? – it is up to the public to decide.
